Meet Kevin, Your DSA Approved Driving Instructor!
Kevin is 24 years old and qualified as a driving instructor in March 2008 at the age of 22, at the time this made him the youngest instructor in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.
Since passing his driving test in 2003 at the age of 17, Kevin went on to take an Advanced Driving course with the Grimsby & Louth Advanced Motorists (GLAM) and pass the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) Advanced Driving Test in April 2004 from there he trained as a Group Observer with the group aged 19, by helping other people pass the Advanced Driving Test by offering his time voluntarily. In 2005, Kevin qualified as a Senior Observer with the Institute of Advanced Motorists and continues to offer his time as part of the committee with GLAM.
In November 2004, Kevin took on the challenge of the Driving Instructors’ Association’s (DIA) DIAmond Advanced Motorist Test, this test is almost identical to that taken as part of the qualifying process to become an Approved Driving Instructor.
In December 2005, Kevin passed the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Advanced Test at a Gold standard (the highest grade obtainable from the test).
